You must check out Cate's Etsy shop if you are looking for adorable embroidery goodness. So hard to choose! But I think I am picking out this one :-). These Alice in Wonderland characters will look good embroidered on a little picnic kit for 4, don't you think so? Hmm... I can see red fabric. And black. And bursts of angry color. Hahaha. Yep, I can see it. Now..just to get it done. :-)
If you are looking for another stitch-along, the New Embroidery with Vintage patterns group on Flickr has one for June. The theme is SUMMER FRUITS AND/OR PICNICS and the deadline to post is June 30. Get your sewing groove on! :-)
As much as I would love to join another stitch-along, I will have to pass this month as I am working on my James Franco embroidery project. Hahaha. I have drafted 2 patterns out of 30 so far and aside from staring too much at his face, I often feel silly doing this. Thus, I know I am on the right track. If it feels silly...great!! hahaha.
On other blog updates, I am working on a paper doll as a freebie sometime this week :-) She is a Blythe ofcourse! It took me a long time to own one of these dolls, and I wished someone had made a paper doll before for me to spend my time on while waiting for the real thing. So, when little sister made me draw the bodies for her paper doll, I thought, hmmm, why not just make a Blythe one? She fits the stencils little sister uses too! Ofcourse, she is a surprise and I am working on it while the 2 sisters are in school :-) A surprise is due in the little green house.
Her name is Lupi :-) She is a bit melancholic. Her other eye is lighter than the other, at which she thinks that makes her odd. She likes to keep alien pets and wishes on the first star she sees every night. So far, that is all she has told me :-) We will eventually know the whole story unfold here in SummerdayStudio when she's ready to see the world.
That's it for today folks! Gotta go to work now :-) Enjoy this lovely Tuesday!
Peace. Love. Dream. Imagine.
