Hullo! Remember the hat from this post? It is finally coming together wonderfully :-) I cannot wait to have it all done and feathered out! In the meantime, here's the work-in-progress of the crown and some favorite tools.
1. Clover Flower Head pins :-) they are thin ang long, perfect for delicate fabrics, but tought enough for thick materials. I treasure my 20 pcs. LOL. Found it in a craft shop in Manila a couple years ago.
2. DIY curved needle. Remember how I said I sew with a beading needle? Well, it pretty much is the only needle I like to work with and in hat-making you need a curved needle at some point. The only curved needles I could find were the thick, upholstery kind. I could not have holes that big with the material I am using, so tadah! With a little bending, and a lot of help from the boys.. a curved beading needle! Yey! haha.
There are many other things going on around here, including work that does not include messing up the whole house... But this afternoon was devoted to finishing the hat. Thus, this is me in my element.. being in the middle of crafty mess.
Hope your week started off great, whoever you are and wherever you are.
Peace. Love. Dream. Create.
