Hullo! Have been so busy lately that I have not had the time to make a decent post. I worked hard on the Lupi download (as heaven knows that is long due!) yesterday, but it is still not worthy of being posted :-( Thus, here we are back to posting about the bridal hat.
It did get finished on time..but it got delivered in the nick of time as the hat could not find a ride to the city:-) I was in such a frenzy of going from one province (yes!) to the next during the making that when I finally finished, I could only manage to grab a few quick photos.
And I was hoping I could shower you with beautiful images from the vintage western wedding, but alas! your burned-out Summerday just got to witness the ceremony before rushing home to collapse. So until the lovely bride can furnish us a copy of her wearing her hat, here is a little visual board I made to give you an idea of our bride's look ;-)
Yes! She was a Gibson bride to her Wyatt Earp groom :-) They were naturals! L♥veL♥ve!
And as for our hat, she liked it and wore it :-) such an honor to be a part of wedding like that!
Now here's some quick shots that I managed to get whilst on the finishing touches of pinning the veil. I also wish I had taken photos of the inside as I had worked just as long and hard on that too haha It had a lining and a sweat band :-) guess that will just have to be one for memory lane for me.
And a parting shot with my "head form", Angel :-) I do not have a hat block just as yet since I have no idea where to get one around here. So whilst we wait for un upgrade in tools, it shall be a breathing one for me :-)
P.S. No Angels were harmed in the making of this hat.
P.P.S. Thank you to everyone who visits the blog, thank you for sharing a part of your day. (and thank you Ayla for leaving a comment! mwah!)
Peace. Love. Dream. Wear a Hat.
