Hullo! It was scorching hot today :-( and I have been pretty lonely cause Dear Husband and Son are in the city to attend this. I kept looking out the window to see beyond the hills, waiting for the sky to turn grey and gloomy. Whilst I waited for the rain to burst from yonder, I picked up on my knitting.
Knitted baby booties are pretty traditional in my family. Our late abuelita use to make for the babies in the family, and my mother learned from her (she was my mothers' mother-in-law by the way), and I in turn learned from my mother.
Having had 7 children, my mother can whip one up real quick haha. But the last time she finished a pair was when my neice, her first grandchild was born. I guess we are old enough to knit our children their own heirloom booties, right? Right :-)
So until the much sought-after droplets started falling outside (and my sweat was falling inside), I knitted along.
Dreaming of babies and such, and saying a little prayer of thanks for this beautiful Sunday and pretty much everything else. Wherever you are, whoever you are, I too pray you all had a blessed Sunday sorrounded by everything you love.
