Hullo! Happy Sunday everyone :-) It was a lovely, sunny day today. Yep, I have seen the sun again. :-)
Yesterday the sisters and I went out for a little supply run. When we went to Gaisano (the local department store), I saw the make-up counters and decided to check out what they have. It's always an interesting choice of merchandise around here :-) But I could not resist the cute!
Check out Pop Cheek! I mean, really? HOW CUTE IS THAT??! This was being sold for P32.00 and had the craziest copy in the box. First, it listed the ingredients ..then it listed what it MAY CONTAIN.. at which this list was longer than the ingredients one. Oh my. How does that get legally approved?
Harujuko Lover? How about a VSOYA Volume Mascara called Lace Fantasy! The primary and secondary packaging of this product was of high quality, and surprisingly, so is the product itself. A steal for P89.00!
Next up is BAXI Shine Eyeshadow in no. 003. The plain, sturdy packaging with those bright colors peeping thru just called out to me. Well, that and the price was just P30.00! Very good pigment quality.
So ofcourse we had to try them out :-) Little sister was more than willing to be experimented on while she was writing her paper for school tomorrow. I did not put anything else on the face or primed it because I wanted to see how well the pigments would stick by themselves. That and we wanted to make sure that any skin reactions were due to these 3 products alone to avoid confusion.
Everything went well and dandy AT FIRST. The eyeshadow was bright and did not disappoint. It was exactly the kind of result you would expect from seing it. Will keep this in my Make-over Kit for sure.
Next, we put on the mascara, which was a nice and subtle black. The tip was very flexible and bendy and the bristles were fine and worked on the lower lashes very well too. I liked it a lot actually :-) Another keeper!
And THEN THAT CUTE ONE just had to mess up everything hahahah. It's always the cute ones isn't it? Part of the test is not to use any tools except those that come with the make-up itself. So, just when I was happily dabbing the foam applicator to her cheek...OFF POPS THE FOAM! Oooopppssss!
Will never buy again :-) But since we shall not waste things we buy, this will go in the Make-over Kit but I will use a blush brush next time.
Although, you can see my blurry sister in the background in the photo above with a dab of bright pink on her cheek haha, it's this photo below that is the final look. :-) Aren't those colors yummy?
Another happy Sunday passed in the little green house once again :-) The Begotten Son spent the afternoon with his grandparents that is why we girls could play! haha.
